Why use the Shopping Village when I shop?
Merchants will only pay a rebate to your Group if they can confirm that the sale originated at the Shopping Village. Merchants are constantly offering special deals and incentives to keep Supporters interested in the Shopping Village. Please remember that you must initiate your shopping through the Shopping Village to benefit your group.

Who manages and operates this Shopping Village for my group?
This site is managed and operated by ShopFunds on behalf of the group. All questions and concerns specifically related to the operation of the Shopping Village should be directed to our webmaster or our customer service department. .

Does my Group receive up to a 15% rebate on every purchase I make?
Yes! Your Group can earn up to a 15% rebate every time you shop. ShopFunds, who manages the Shopping Village, ensures that you are getting the best deals, and incentives being offered by the Merchants. Please remember that you must initiate your shopping through the Shopping Village to have the rebates directed to your Group.

What does this cost me?
The service is Free. You will pay exact the same price if you shop directly with our listed Merchants.

How is the Shopping Village funded?
The Shopping Village is managed by ShopFunds, who is paid directly through affiliate marketing programs by the merchants to help operate the site, and to report to your group. Merchants encourage this type of online shopping as it reduces their marketing and sales expenses and builds customer loyalty. The Shopping Village is absolutely free to your Group.

Do I get a tax credit?
No. The Canada Revenue Agency and/or U.S. IRS limits tax deductibility for charitable contributions to the amount paid over and above the fair market price for an item. Since the prices you pay when buying from the merchants are the same as if you purchased directly from the merchant, no tax-deductible event occurs.

Can anyone make purchases and earn up to 15% for this Group?
Anyone can purchase items through the Shopping Village and earn up to a 15% rebate for the group. Even international visitors can shop and earn rebates for the group.

How do I know that the rebate will be received by my Group?
Your Group has the right to audit the ShopFunds payment and tracking records at any time.

I am not comfortable shopping on the Internet?
All of our Merchants offer encrypted payment gateways and payment methods such as Visa, MasterCard, and American Express. If a Merchant cannot confirm that a sale originated at the Shopping Village site your Group will not receive up to a 15% rebate.

How do I know that online Merchants are secure?
During the purchase transaction with the Merchant you will be asked to provide credit card information. When making a purchase the transaction is moved to a secure server to encrypt and protect the information you provide. To ensure that proper security protocol has occurred please look for the closed yellow lock symbol in your browser and "https" must appear in your address bar. ShopFunds and your group does not have access to any information that you provide to the merchant.

May I return or exchange purchases?
Each Merchant has their own Customer Service Page that describes their return policy. Please visit their customer service page for details. If you are not satisfied with the customer service you receive from one of our participating retailers, we need to know about it. Please contact our customer service department at customerservice@progressivefundraising.ca. Please note that once you have returned something, the rebate that you earned will be reversed.

Can I have my order shipped to another address?
Purchases are delivered to the address of choice. Please check the individual merchant's Customer Service Page for specific information about their shipping policies.

How much of a rebate will my group receive?
Your Group will receive 100% of the rebate listed by the Shopping Village. Merchants offer a percentage or a fixed dollar rebate. Merchants may offer different rebates and or incentives on different products.

What currency do the merchants accept?
Merchant's prices may be listed in Canadian or U.S. dollars. Please see merchant list for details.

What currency is paid to the group?
Rebates are paid to your group in Canadian or U.S. dollars depending on the group's preference and are converted according to currency exchange rates at the time of payment.

How can I fundraise from online purchasing?
Go to the Shopping Village and shop at any of our online Merchants and up to a 15% rebate on every purchase will be forwarded to your group.

How do I track my fundraising history?
Login as a registered member and go to Shopping History to track your fundraising progress. Due to the Merchant's return policy you may have to allow up to 60 days for your rebate to be processed.

When will my group receive the rebate?
Rebates will be paid no later than 75 days from the end of each quarter to allow for the merchant's "up to 60 day return policy" and ShopFundss' 15 day processing period. All rebates are paid on the following schedule:

Rebates received:

1st Quarter (Jan - Mar)

2nd Quarter (Apr - Jun)

3rd Quarter (Jul - Sep)

4th Quarter (Oct - Dec)

Payment is made on:

Jun 15th

Sep 15th

Dec 15th

Mar 15th

If a group has earned less than $100 at the end of the quarter, the funds will accrue until they reach $100 or be paid out by year end.

Must I register with the Shopping Village to earn rebates for my favorite Group?
No. You may shop as a guest and your rebates will be forwarded to your group. See the following question for disadvantages of shopping as a guest.

What are the disadvantages of shopping as a Guest?
• You cannot establish a password protected account.
• You cannot track your Shopping History.
• You will not receive notices of promotions or incentives.

Do I pay more to shop at the Shopping Village?
No.  When you shop using our Shopping Village you do not pay any more than you would if you shopped at one of our listed merchants directly. Merchants frequently offer exclusive incentives to our Shopping Village that are not available at other sites.

Is my membership private?
Yes.  Yes. ShopFunds will not share any information about an individual member with a merchant or group. The information you provide will only be used in aggregate for demographic purposes to improve our service and to provide you with the best merchant deals and discounts. Please note that we will only share your contact information with your group if you specifically allow us to do so in your account profile. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for more information.
